On 20 February 1888, Van Gogh arrived in Arles. He discovered the beauty of the South, painted fervently and inspired. On the sails, a deep blue sky, a wild green of the field, a blood-red of the earth and a burning yellow (from the time of the Renaissance yellow is not used as a stand-alone color). Van Gogh says: "How beautiful is the yellow color!"
